apricot jam , warmed
toasted sliced almonds
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter , melted

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
2.In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.

4.Arrange the squares on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
5.Brush the squares with the egg wash mixture.

10.In a separate bowl, combine the softened butter, sugar, and cinnamon.
11.Add the cream cheese or mascarpone cheese, the egg yolk, and the confectioners' sugar.
12.Mix well and spoon the mixture onto the squares with filling.
13.Sprinkle the tops of the squares with the toasted sliced almonds and sugar.
14.Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
