2 tubes big crescent rolls
12 ounces cream cheese , room temperature
1/2 cup plus more powdered sugar
3 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch , divided
1 large egg , separated
1/2 cup large-curd cottage cheese
1 cup drained cranberry sauce

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2.In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, and egg yolk. Mix cottage cheese in a blender until smooth. Add it to the cream cheese mixture and mix well.
3.On a greased baking sheet, unroll crescent roll dough and separate into triangles. Cut a slit in the middle of each triangle.
4.Spread the cream cheese mixture on top of each triangle.
5.In a small bowl, mix together cranberry sauce and remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch. Spoon a small amount of the mixture over the cream cheese mixture.
6.Fold the two sides of the triangle to meet in the center and seal the edges. Brush with egg white.
7.Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
