3/4 cup butter
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 box brown sugar
1 box confectioners ' sugar ( sifted )
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup walnuts ( optional )

Instructions

1.Butter an 8-inch square pan and set aside in cool place.

3.Raise heat to medium-high and bring to a boil, whisking constantly.
4.Remove saucepan from heat and add confectioners’ sugar and vanilla extract. Stir well until all sugar is incorporated.
5.Immediately add walnuts (optional) and stir well to combine. Quickly pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
6.Let it cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
7.Cut into squares and serve.
