Ingredients

1 lb boneless beef top sirloin steak
3 cups fresh mushrooms , sliced
1/2 cup onion , chopped
1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
1 cup hot water
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons flour
1/4 cup dry sherry
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
3/4 cup low-fat sour cream
3 1/2 cups cooked wide egg noodles ( cooked without salt or fat )
3 tablespoons fresh parsley , minced
fresh parsley sprig ( optional )

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375° F.
2.Season beef steak with 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1/8 teaspoon of pepper.
3.In a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, saute mushrooms, onions, and beef bouillon granules in hot water and butter until vegetables are tender.
4.Move the mixture to the side of the skillet and add the make-shift roux (flour and sherry) to the skillet and stir continuously for about 2 minutes.
5.Gradually stir in the rest of the water and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
6.Stir well and bring to a boil, let it simmer for a minute.
7.Remove from heat and stir in sour cream.
8.Arrange hot cooked egg noodles on a large serving platter.
9.Spoon beef mixture over noodles and sprinkle with parsley.
10.Serve hot.
