2 slices good-quality white bread , crusts removed
1/4 cup half-and-half
1 lb ground chicken
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried dill
5 tablespoons butter , 3 of them at room temperature
1 cup dry breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

1.In a small bowl, pour half-and-half over crumbled white bread.
2.In a mixing bowl, beat ground chicken, egg, salt, black pepper, dill, and softened butter till smooth.
3.Squeeze the excess half-and-half from bread and add to the chicken mixture.
4.Mix well and shape the mixture into small, thick patties.
5.Coat the patties in the breadcrumbs and set aside.
6.Heat oil and remaining butter over medium heat in a large skillet and cook patties for 3 minutes on each side till golden brown and crispy.
7.Serve hot.
