Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 1/2 lbs ground pork
4 tablespoons butter
1 1/4 cups water
2 small onions
3 garlic cloves
1/2 cup cilantro
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup warm water
1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, ground pork, red pepper flakes, and 1 tsp of salt.
2.Dice the onions and mince the garlic cloves, then sauté in a pan with butter over medium heat until translucent.
3.Add 1 1/4 cups of water to the onion and garlic mixture, then add 1 tsp of kosher salt and cilantro. Cook for 5 minutes.
4.Add the onion and garlic mixture to the meat mixture and mix well. Set aside.
5.In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and 1 tsp of salt. Gradually add the warm water until a dough forms.
6.Knead the dough for 10 minutes, then let it rest for 10 minutes.
7.On a floured surface, roll out the dough into 1/8 inch thick circles.
8.Spoon 1 tbsp of meat mixture onto each circle of dough. Fold the edges of the dough up to create a pouch. Pinch the top of the pouch to seal.
9.In a large pot of boiling water, add the dumplings. Cook for 15-20 minutes until the dough is cooked through.
10.Serve hot and enjoy!
