Rice Lasagna With Beef and Sausage is a unique take on traditional lasagna. The use of rice instead of pasta gives the dish a new texture and the combination of steak and sausage adds protein and flavor. Instructions

.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
.Rinse rice under cool water. Place rice in a saucepan with 3 cups of water. Bring water to a boil and then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer until rice is tender and the water has been absorbed, about 18 minutes.
.Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sirloin tip steak and cook until well browned, about 5 minutes per side. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
.Add Italian sausage to the same skillet and cook until browned, about 8 minutes. Drain the excess fat from the skillet.
.Mix spaghetti sauce with cooked sausage and bring to a simmer.
.Assemble the lasagna by spreading a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Layer cooked rice, steak, and the remaining sauce on top of the sauce layer. Sprinkle provolone, mozzarella, and Fontina cheese on top.
.Cover lasagna with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking until cheese is golden brown, about 10 minutes.
