Ingredients

1 beef brisket ( or just the flat cut )
1 1/2 cups soy sauce
1 1/2 cups Worcestershire sauce
3 -4 teaspoons liquid smoke ( depending on strength of liquid smoke )
1 tablespoon seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder ( not garlic salt )
1 -2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes ( optional )

Instructions

1.Start by trimming any excess fat from the beef brisket and slicing it into thin, uniform pieces, around 1/4 inch thick.

3.Add the beef slices to the marinade, making sure each piece is coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
4.Preheat your oven to 160°F (70°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and set a wire rack on top.
5.Place the beef slices on the wire rack, leaving a little bit of space in between each piece.
6.Bake the beef jerky for 4-5 hours or until it is dried out and chewy.
7.Let it cool down and then store in an airtight container for up to a month.
