Ingredients

4 cups cornflake crumbs
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

10 cooked skinless , boneless chicken breast halves - cut into strips
salt and ground black pepper to taste
6 cups shredded Swiss cheese
1 pound cooked ham , diced
1/2 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
1 bunch green onions , sliced
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons butter , melted ( optional )

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2.Mix cornflake crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and melted butter together in a bowl.
3.Spread 1/3 of the crumb mixture into the bottom of a large casserole dish.
4.Top with half the chicken strips, and sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste.
5.Layer 1/2 the Swiss cheese, all of the ham, mushrooms, and green onions over the chicken.
6.Combine chicken soup and sour cream in a bowl, and spread evenly over the casserole.
7.Repeat layering with half the remaining crumb mixture, the remaining chicken strips, and salt and black pepper to taste.
8.Top with the remaining Swiss cheese, and sprinkle with the remaining crumb mixture.
9.Drizzle with 2 tablespoons melted butter, if desired.
10.Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
