1 kg meat
150 g carrots
150 g onions

5 tablespoons tomato paste

3 -4 bay leaves

Saltwort- Hodgepodge, also known as Solianka, is a Russian soup that has been enjoyed since the 18th century. It is a combination of meat, vegetables, and pickled cucumbers that come together to form a tangy and savory flavor. Instructions

1.Rinse and slice the beef and meat into cubes.
2.Peel and chop the onion and carrots.
3.Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot.
4.Sauté the onion until golden brown.
5.Add the meat and beef to the pot, stirring occasionally until they brown as well.
6.Add in the tomato paste, carrots, and bay leaves, then stir for 3-4 minutes.
7.Pour in water until the meat is fully covered.
8.Add in the pickled cucumbers, capers, and black pepper for seasoning.
9.Let it boil on medium heat for 1 and a half hours.
10.Serve with greens, a slice of olive, and a squeeze of lemon on top.
