1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
1/2 cup chicken stock

Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, turmeric, 1/2 tsp curry powder, and salt. Add margarine and shortening; cut into flour mixture with a fork or pastry cutter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
2.Stir in water until dough comes together; shape into a flat round, wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
3.In a skillet or pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and add garlic and onions until softened.
4.Add meat, curry powder, cumin or turmeric powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook until meat is browned and crumbled, about 8-10 minutes.
5.Stir in breadcrumbs and chicken stock and cook for another 5 minutes or until the liquid has been absorbed. Add green onions and set the mixture aside.
6.Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
7.Roll the chilled dough into 4-inch circles. Place a tablespoon of filling in the center, fold the dough over the filling, and crimp the edges.
8.Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
9.Serve hot with your favorite dip or sauce.
