Ingredients

3 nashi , peeled and cored
1 lemon
2 tablespoons oil
500 g filet of beef ( thinly sliced-strips )
2 chokos
4 spring onions , chopped
2 cloves garlic , chopped
1 teaspoon grated ginger
2/3 cup macadamia halves
1/3 cup cold water
1 tablespoon cornflour
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon chili sauce
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Nashi Beef with Macadamia is a unique dish that combines Japanese and Australian flavors. Nashi, also known as Asian pears, are a favorite ingredient in Japanese cuisine, while macadamia is a well-loved nut from Australia. This dish is a combination of tender beef strips stir-fried with nashi, chokos, and macadamia, and flavored with garlic, ginger, and spring onions. Instructions

1.Blend peeled and cored nashi until smooth and set aside.
2.Squeeze the juice from the lemon and set aside.
3.In a wok or large frying pan, heat oil over medium heat and fry thinly sliced beef in batches for 1-2 minutes. Set aside.
4.Add peeled and diced chokos to the wok and fry for 1-2 minutes.
5.Add chopped spring onions, chopped garlic, grated ginger and the blended nashi to the wok. Mix well.
6.Add the cooked beef back to the wok, along with macadamia halves.
7.In a small bowl, mix together cold water, cornflour, soy sauce, and chili sauce. Pour over the beef and cook until it thickens.
8.Serve the Nashi Beef with Macadamia over steamed rice, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
