Ingredients

2 pounds lamb , cut into 1 inch square cubes
1/2 cup olive oil
1 cup red wine
1 teaspoon salt
freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried mint , crushed
1 clove garlic , chopped
4 cups plain yogurt
1 cucumber , shredded
4 cloves garlic , minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
salt and pepper to taste
8 pita bread rounds
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 red onion , thinly sliced
1 tomato , thinly sliced

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine, salt, black pepper, oregano, mint and garlic.
2.Add in the lamb cubes and toss well so that they are coated evenly.
3.Cover and keep it in the fridge for at least 3 hours or preferably over night.
4.In a medium sized bowl, mix together yogurt, cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper and dill weed, stir well and keep it aside.
5.Take the lamb out from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
6.In a large skillet or grill pan, cook the lamb cubes over high heat for 3-5 minutes on each side or until it's cooked as per your preference.
7.Toast the pita bread rounds on a pan.
8.Spread a generous amount of yogurt mixture all over the pita bread, place lamb cubes on top and garnish it with sliced onion and tomato.
9.Roll it up and enjoy!
