1/2 cup onion , chopped
1 cup celery , sliced

1 teaspoon curry powder ( or to taste with twice or three times as much )
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup beef broth
4 ounces mushrooms , chopped ( stems only ok )
2 tablespoons sherry wine ( optional )
2 bananas , peeled and sliced
4 cups rice , cooked

Instructions

1.In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and celery until meat is brown and vegetables are tender.
2.Add apples, curry powder, and flour; stir until combined.
3.Gradually add beef broth into the mixture, stirring constantly.
4.Add mushrooms and sherry wine, if using, stir and cook for another 5 minutes.
5.Before serving, add sliced bananas and stir gently, spoon mixture over cooked rice.
