6 large tomatoes , about 10 ounces each , heirloom is best , cored and cut horizontally in half
2 tablespoons fresh oregano , divided
2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves , divided
5 tablespoons olive oil , divided

Instructions

1.Preheat grill to high heat
2.In a small bowl, mix together 3 tablespoons olive oil, 1 tablespoon oregano, and 1 tablespoon thyme. Brush mixture over cut side of tomatoes.
3.Place tomatoes on grill, cut side down, and cook for about 3-4 minutes, until charred.
4.Remove tomatoes from grill and place on a serving dish.
5.Drizzle remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil over tomatoes and sprinkle with remaining oregano and thyme.
6.Serve immediately.
