1 onion , sliced
1 piece of salt meat ( cut into small pieces )

Instructions

1.Rinse the red kidney beans and soak them overnight in water.
2.In a large pot, cook the beans in fresh water until they are tender.

4.Once the rice has been added, immediately reduce the heat to low and cover the pot.
5.Allow the rice to cook for about twenty minutes, or until soft and fluffy.
6.In another pan, fry the salt meat until crisp.
7.Add the sliced onion to the pan with the salt meat and fry until soft.
8.Once the beans are cooked, add them and their cooking water to the pot of rice.
9.Add in the fried salt meat and onions and stir everything together.
