Ingredients

2 lbs ground chuck
2 large onions , chopped
5 -6 garlic cloves , minced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
12 ounces Corona beer ( or other Mexican beer )
29 ounces diced tomatoes with juice
1/2 cup canned jalapeno slices ( with a little juice )
15 1/2 ounces tomato sauce
2 beef bouillon cubes
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon black pepper ( your choice ) or 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper ( your choice )
1 tablespoon ground cumin
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 can kidney beans , undrained
tortilla chips ( optional ) or cracker ( optional )

Instructions

1.Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onions and garlic. Cook until onions are translucent but not brown.
2.Add ground chuck and cook until browned.
3.Add in Corona beer and stir well.
4.Add diced tomatoes with juice, canned jalapeno slices with juice, tomato sauce, beef bouillon cubes, salt, sugar, black pepper (or cayenne pepper), ground cumin, and chili powder. Stir well.
5.Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1 hour.
6.After 1 hour, add kidney beans with their liquid.
7.Bring mixture to a simmer, and let cook for an additional 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
8.Serve with tortilla chips or crackers on top (optional).
