The Cuban Sandwich originates from Cuba where it was a popular street food and was later brought over to Florida where it gained widespread popularity. The original Cuban Sandwich consists of ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese and pickles on Cuban bread and is served hot. This Weight Watchers version uses whole wheat bread and cuts down on the portions of ham and cheese to make it a more portion-controlled meal. It's a quick and hearty lunch that can be made in just a few minutes using a panini press or a regular pan. It has a mix of flavors, from sweet to salty and tangy, that come together well to make for a tasty meal.

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2.Place the ham in a small baking dish and bake for 5-7 minutes until slightly crispy.
3.Meanwhile, toast the sandwich thins roll in a toaster, oven or a pan.
4.Spread the mustard on one half of the roll and place the sliced pickle on the other half.
5.Remove the ham from the oven and place it on top of the pickle.
