Ingredients

1 lb dried navy beans
4 teaspoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt ( to taste )
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper ( to taste )
1/2 cup ham , cubed ( can use ham from deli )
4 garlic cloves , minced
1/4 lb thick slab bacon , cubed
4 cups water
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1 link chorizo sausage ( Spanish sausage )
1 medium onion , chopped
4 teaspoons vegetable oil
fresh parsley leaves , for garnish

Instructions

1.Rinse navy beans under cold water and drain.

4.Add thick slab bacon, chorizo sausage, and cooked navy beans to the pot.
5.Pour in tomato sauce and water, stir well, and cover with the lid.
6.Let the ingredients simmer on low heat for 1.5 to 2 hours until beans are tender.
7.Garnish Munyeta with fresh parsley leaves and serve hot.
