The Honey Zserbo is a traditional Hungarian dessert that has been enjoyed for generations. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F/175°C. Grease and flour two 9-inch square cake pans.
2.In a medium bowl, whisk together 4 cups of flour and 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking soda.
3.In a separate large bowl, beat together 1 cup of confectioners' sugar and 1/3 cup of unsalted butter until light and fluffy. Add 2 beaten eggs and 1/4 cup of warmed honey, mixing well.
4.Whisk 1/4 cup of sour cream into the large bowl, then slowly add the flour mixture until well combined.
5.Divide the dough into two equal parts, flatten them into discs, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
6.In a small saucepan over low heat, whisk together 2 cups of confectioners' sugar, 3/4 cup of vanilla sugar, 1/4 cup of flour, and 1 cup of milk until thickened and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of unsalted butter.
7.Place one disc of dough in the bottom of each pan and spread half of the filling on top of each.
8.Crumble the remaining dough on top of the filling in each pan.
9.Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pans and cool on a wire rack. Dust with confectioners' sugar before serving.
