Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2.Remove the shells of the chestnuts and place them in a large pan of boiling water.

5.Melt the butter and the first 4 squares of chocolate together.

9.Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch springform pan.
10.Bake for 45 minutes.
11.In a saucepan, heat the second 6 squares of chocolate and the heavy cream together until the chocolate is melted.
12.Stir in the rum and let the mixture cool.
13.Spread the chocolate mixture over the top of the cake.
14.Decorate the cake with the candied chestnuts and the chopped marrons glacés.
15.Whip the remaining cream, sugar, and rum together and serve alongside the cake.
