Ingredients

1 lb beef chuck roast
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
2 cups beef broth
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
1 sheet of puff pastry
1 egg, beaten
This hearty steak and mushroom pie is the ultimate comfort food. Tender pieces of beef are simmered in a savory sauce with mushrooms and onions, then baked under a layer of crispy puff pastry. It's perfect for a cozy night in or for feeding a hungry crowd.

Instructions

1.Preheat your oven to 375°F.
2.Cut the beef into small bite-sized pieces and coat them in flour.
3.In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides.
4.Add the chopped onions and garlic and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
5.Add the sliced mushrooms and continue cooking until the mushrooms are tender and the onions are translucent.
