6 cups peeled , chopped zucchini
6 cups apples - peeled , cored and chopped
2 cups raisins
1 cup dried currants
1 cup distilled white vinegar
1 orange , juiced and zested
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups white sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons dry bread crumbs , if needed ( optional )
4 canning jars with lids and rings

Instructions

1.In a large saucepan, combine the chopped zucchini and apples along with the raisins and currants.

5.Pour the mixture into sterilized canning jars and place lids and rings on top.
6.Set the jars in a pot, fill the pot with water to reach 1 inch above the jars. Bring the water to a boil and let the jars sit for 10-15 minutes to seal the lids.
