12 corn tortillas , raw , diced

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F.
2.In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium-high heat until beef is no longer pink. Drain fat if necessary.
3.In a large mixing bowl, stir together the cooked beef, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, mild salsa, green chilies, jalapenos, and water.
4.Layer half of the diced tortillas in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
5.Pour half of the beef mixture on top of the tortillas. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the beef mixture.
6.Repeat layers with remaining tortillas, beef mixture, and cheese.
7.Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
8.Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes to allow the cheese to become golden brown and bubbly.
9.Let stand for 5-10 minutes before cutting and serving.
