Ingredients

1 package active dry yeast or 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 1/3 cups warm water
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon lard or 1 tablespoon shortening , melted and cooled
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3 1/4 - 4 cups flour
1/4 cup cold water
1 teaspoon cornstarch

Instructions

9.Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Shape each piece into an oval and place on a greased baking sheet.
10.Brush each roll with the cornstarch mixture and let rest for 10 minutes.
11.Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crusty.
12.Serve warm, with butter or your favorite filling.
