Streamlined Chimichangas are a simplified version of the traditional deep-fried burrito. They're usually made by filling a tortilla with meat, beans, cheese, and other fillings, then deep-frying until crispy. This recipe calls for baking the chimichangas to achieve the same crispy texture, which makes it a healthier option. The dish originates from northern Mexico and is now a popular Tex-Mex food. It can be served with guacamole, sour cream, salsa, or any other toppings of your choice.

Instructions

.Preheat oven to 375°F.
.Cook ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned, stirring to crumble the beef.
.Drain well and stir in garlic, Pace Picante Sauce, cumin, oregano, and salt.
.Cook over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
.Brush one side of each tortilla lightly with melted butter.
.Spoon 1/2 cup beef mixture onto the center of each tortilla.
.Fold the sides of the tortilla toward the center over the filling, then roll up from bottom to top to enclose the filling completely.
.Place seam-side down on a baking sheet.
.Brush the tops of the tortillas lightly with remaining melted butter, and bake at 375°F for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
