Ingredients

1 package wonton skins
1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese or 1 cup monterey jack cheese
1 package cream cheese
2 cans diced green chilies
1 teaspoon crushed peppercorn ( we use multicolor blend )
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
4 cups canola oil
sour cream
salsa
green chili sauce ( Stokes )
Chile Relleno Dippers are a tasty spin on the popular Mexican dish 'Chile Relleno'. In this recipe, wonton wrappers are filled with a spicy cheese filling and deep-fried to crispy perfection. Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, Mexican blend cheese or Monterey Jack cheese, diced green chilies, crushed peppercorn, garlic powder and sea salt. Mix well to combine.
2.Take a wonton wrapper and place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the centre. Fold the wrapper in half to make a triangle and press the edges together.
3.Heat the canola oil in a deep pan. Once hot, add the stuffed wontons in batches and cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
4.Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
5.Serve the Chile Relleno Dippers with sour cream, salsa and green chili sauce.
