Ingredients

1/2 cup Bourbon
1/2 cup coffee
three 15oz cans tomato sauce
four large tomatoes
1 lb ground beef
1 lb Italian sausage
one package bacon
three ear of corn
one leek
one red pepper
one bundle green onion
one yellow onion
two head of garlic
five jalapeno pepper
one 15oz can black beans
one 15oz can garbanzo beans
one 15oz can adzuki beans
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin powder
1 tablespoon toasted and ground szechuan peppercorns
3 teaspoons turmeric
3 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black peppercorns
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground cardamom

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 400°F
2.Combine the bourbon and coffee in a bowl
3.Cut the bacon into small pieces and cook in a pan over medium heat until crispy, set aside
4.In the same pan, add the Italian sausage and ground beef into the bacon grease and cook until brown, break up meat into small pieces with spatula
5.Roughly chop onion, garlic, peppers, leeks, green onions, and tomatoes. Add corn kernels to a bowl
6.Using the same pan, cook the chopped vegetable with olive oil, stirring occasionally until slightly caramelized (around 5-7 min)
7.Add the chopped vegetables to a large pot or Dutch oven with the meat. Mix
8.Stir in chili powder, cumin powder, szechuan peppercorns, turmeric, paprika, salt, black pepper, coriander, and cardamom. Mix until well combined
9.Stir in tomato sauce, bourbon and coffee mixture, jalapenos, black beans, garbanzo beans, and adzuki beans. Mix until well combined
10.Cover with a lid and cook in oven for 40 minutes or until heated through
