8 flour tortillas
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 medium tomatoes , chopped

The burrito burger originated as a creative and flavorful mashup between a burrito and a burger. By combining the hearty flavors of a classic beef burger with the delicious texture of refried beans, mild green chilies, and onion, the burrito burger has become a popular and unique meal option. Topped with melted cheese, crisp lettuce, and fresh salsa, these burgers are the perfect way to spice up your weeknight dinner routine.

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, mix together the refried beans, green chilies, and onion.
2.Add ground beef to the bowl and mix well. Form the mixture into 4 even patties.
3.Preheat a grill to medium-high heat. Cook the burgers for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.
4.During the last minute of cooking, top each burger with a slice of American cheese to melt.
5.Warm the flour tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a tortilla and topping with shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, and salsa. Wrap the tortilla around the burger and enjoy!

PROS

These burrito burgers are a fun twist on traditional burgers, with the added bonus of using refried beans for an extra flavor and texture boost.
The spice from the green chilies and salsa adds a nice kick to the dish.
They are also quick and easy to make, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

CONS

The combination of refried beans and beef may not be for everyone, and the spice level may be too high for some.
Additionally, the use of flour tortillas instead of buns may not provide the same level of structural support for the burger.

HEALTH & BENEFITS

This dish provides a good balance of protein and carbohydrates, with the addition of fiber from the refried beans. The use of fresh tomatoes and lettuce adds extra nutrients to the dish. However, the use of cheese and salsa may add extra calories, sodium, and fat.
