Ingredients

7 1/2 lbs seedless watermelon , rind removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
4 teaspoons superfine sugar
6 ounces silver tequila ( I used Patron )
24 basil leaves , plus sprigs for garnish
3 ounces triple sec
6 cups small ice cubes
Watermelon-Basil Margaritas are a refreshing twist on the classic frozen margarita. With the sweet, juicy taste of ripe watermelon and the fresh, herbal flavor of basil, these margaritas are a perfect balance of sweet and tangy. Instructions

1.On a baking sheet or in a large bowl, mix together the watermelon cubes and superfine sugar.
2.Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill.
3.In a blender, combine the chilled watermelon cubes, silver tequila, basil leaves, and triple sec. Process until smooth.
4.Add the ice cubes to the blender and pulse until blended.
5.Rub the rim of your glass with a lime wedge and dip it in a small dish of kosher salt to create a salt rim (optional). Pour the margaritas over ice and garnish with a sprig of basil.
