8 ounces organic tomato sauce
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
17 ounces puff pastry sheets , defrosted if frozen , and cut into four peices
cooking spray ( optional )
2 egg whites , beaten
1/2 tablespoon fresh cilantro , chopped for garnish ( optional )
1/4 cup sour cream , divided ( to pass at the table )

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
2.Heat 1 tablespoon canola oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
3.Add fresh corn, onion, garlic, habanero pepper, green bell pepper, and dried mission figs to the skillet. Cook and stir occasionally until vegetables are tender, about 8-10 minutes.
4.Add ground turkey and fresh ground pepper to the skillet. Cook and stir intermittently until the meat is browned and no longer pink, about 10-12 minutes.
5.Add chicken stock, A.1. Original Sauce, organic tomato sauce, light brown sugar, and pinto beans to the skillet. Cook and stir intermittently until the ingredients are well combined, about 5 minutes.
6.Divide the mixture among four puff pastry sheets. Fold the sheets in half to enclose the filling.
7.Coat the cooking spray on the baking sheet. Place the pastry bags on the baking sheet and brush them with beaten egg whites.
8.Bake the pastry bags in the preheated oven until golden brown and crispy, about 20-25 minutes.
9.Divide the remaining tablespoon of A.1. Original Sauce among the four pastry bags, and sprinkle them with chopped cilantro and sour cream to serve.
