8 cups water , Cold
1/3 cup dark brown sugar , Packed
1/2 ounce baking chocolate , Fine Chop
2 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick , broken In 1/2
1 cup regular grind coffee , Dry
1 teaspoon vanilla
Cafe Mexicano II is a variation of the traditional Mexican coffee. It is usually served as a morning or mid-day beverage and can be enjoyed hot or cold. Instructions

1.In a large pot, add water, brown sugar, baking chocolate, cloves, cinnamon stick and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
2.Stir and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes, stir occasionally.
3.Remove the pot from heat and add the coffee into the pot.
4.Let sit covered, off heat for 3 to 5 minutes.
5.Strain the coffee through a fine mesh strainer lined with a coffee filter or cheesecloth. Serve hot and enjoy!
