Crispy open-faced quesadillas are a twist on traditional quesadillas that are usually folded in half. This recipe uses a crispy tortilla as the base and is topped with melted cheese and crema with sour cream and spices. The lime juice and zest in the crema give it a tangy taste that complements the cheese. While this dish can be high in calories and fat if too much cheese or sour cream is used, it can be made healthier by using less of these ingredients and adding vegetables. The crispy texture of the tortilla and the melty cheese create a delicious flavor and texture combination.
