Ingredients

2 cups white rice
1 tablespoon oil
8 garlic cloves
6 cups home made chicken broth
salt , to taste ( optional , if the broth is already salted , omit the salt )

Instructions

1.In a colander, rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
2.In a pot, heat the oil over medium heat, add the garlic and cook until fragrant.
3.Add the rice to the pot and stir to combine.
4.Add chicken broth and salt to the pot and give everything a stir.
5.Bring the pot to a boil over high heat, once boiling reduce heat to a simmer and cover the pot with a lid.
6.Cook the rice for around 15 minutes until rice is tender and all the liquid has been absorbed.
7.Fluff the rice with a fork, cover the pot with a lid again and let it sit off the heat for 10 more minutes.
