Ingredients

8 lamb shanks
6 -8 garlic cloves ( sliced into half )
150 ml red wine
50 ml fresh lemon juice
3 tablespoons chill & garlic paste
3 tablespoons cajun spices
2 teaspoons salt ( or to your liking )
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon rosemary
1 teaspoon black pepper ( grounded )
2 garlic cloves ( lightly crush in mortar )
1 inch ginger ( lightly crush in mortar )
1 tablespoon soy sauce

Instructions

1.Preheat your oven to 190°C.
2.Cut garlic cloves into half and lightly crush garlic and ginger in a mortar.
3.In a mixing bowl, mix together red wine, fresh lemon juice, chilli and garlic paste, cajun spices, salt, oregano, rosemary, grounded black pepper, soy sauce and lightly crushed garlic and ginger.
4.Arrange lamb shanks in a baking dish. Pour the mixture over the lamb shanks and make sure each shank is coated with the mixture.
5.Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the meat is tender and falling off the bone.
6.Once cooked, remove from the oven and let it cool for few minutes before serving it.
