1 1/2 cups lump crabmeat
1 1/2 cups sliced asparagus spears

Instructions

1.In a large pot, heat canola oil over medium heat. Add onion, celery, carrot, garlic and shallots. Cook until vegetables are tender
2.Stir in flour until blended. Gradually add in milk, water and sherry wine. Cook and stir until soup comes to a boil and thickens.
3.Add rice, Worcestershire sauce, bay leaf, thyme, salt, pepper and lemon zest to the soup. Simmer, covered, for about 20-25 minutes or until rice is tender.
4.Stir in crabmeat and asparagus. Cook, until asparagus is tender. Discard bay leaf from the soup before serving.
