2 cups self-raising flour
30 g butter , chilled , chopped
3/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon vegemite
3/4 cup tasty cheese , grated

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 220°C. Grease and line a 20 x 20 cm square cake tin.
2.In a large bowl, rub the chilled butter into the flour until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
3.Add the milk and stir until a dough forms.
4.Roll the dough out to a 30 x 50 cm rectangle on a floured surface.
5.Spread the vegemite over the dough and sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
6.Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut the dough into 5 strips horizontally and 6 strips vertically, creating 30 small squares.
7.Stack the squares on top of each other to form a tower, then place the tower into the prepared tin.
8.Brush the top of the tower with milk.
9.Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
10.Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
