8 ounces butter
5 tablespoons powdered sugar
5 tablespoons cornstarch
1 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 pinch salt
1 -2 tablespoon boiling water
1/3 cup butter , softened
Melting moments are an Australian biscuit classic, often made for special occasions or as a snack with a cup of tea. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 160C.
2.Cream together butter, sifted icing sugar and cornflour, until light and fluffy.
3.Sift in the flour and add vanilla essence.
4.Mix well.
5.Roll mixture into approximately 24 balls.
6.Place the balls on a greased tray and press down slightly with a fork.
7.Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until cooked.
8.Allow biscuits to cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
9.To make the icing, mix together sifted icing sugar, butter, salt, vanilla essence and enough boiling water to make a soft icing.
10.Sandwich biscuits together using the icing.
