Ingredients

20 g butter
1 medium onion , chopped finely
1 medium carrot , grated
2 tablespoons tomato sauce ( ketchup )
1 tablespoon parsley , finely chopped
400 g ground sausage
400 g beef mince
1 cup stale breadcrumbs
salt & fresh ground pepper
3 sheets ready-rolled butter puff pastry
2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F)
2.Melt butter in a skillet and sauté onions until soft and translucent
3.Add grated carrots and tomato sauce and cook for 10 mins
4.Take a large mixing bowl and mix together cooked onion mix, ground sausage, beef mince, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper and parsley until well-combined
5.Roll out the pastry into a long rectangle. Divide sausage mixture into three portions and shape each portion into a log. Place a log of sausage mixture on the pastry and roll up. Cut each roll into 4 smaller rolls.
6.Place the smaller rolls onto a lined baking tray and brush with milk.
7.Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
