Ingredients

2 1/2 cups self-raising flour , extra
self-raising flour , for dusting
50 g cold butter , chopped
2 tablespoons fresh sage leaves , shredded
2 teaspoons fresh rosemary leaves , chopped
salt & freshly ground black pepper
1 1/4 cups milk
100 g camembert cheese

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 200C/400F.
2.In a mixing bowl, add flour and cold butter. Using your fingertips, rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
3.Add in fresh sage leaves, fresh rosemary leaves, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Mix well.
4.Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients and pour in the milk. Mix until it forms a sticky dough.
5.Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and knead gently. Roll the dough out until it is about 3/4 inch thick.
6.Cut the scones with a 3 inch biscuit cutter and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the scones with milk.
7.Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
8.Remove the scones from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving.
