1 1/4 cups plain flour
150 g cold butter , chopped
1/2 cup macadamia nuts
1/3 cup icing sugar
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon ice water
2 blocks white chocolate , chopped
4 egg yolks

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

The White Chocolate & Macadamia Tart is a delicious and decadent dessert that is perfect for any special occasion. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
2.In a large bowl, combine flour, butter, nuts, icing sugar, egg yolks and ice water. Use your fingers to gently combine the ingredients until a smooth dough forms.
3.Wrap the dough in a cling film and refrigerate for around 30 minutes.
4.After 30 minutes, roll the dough out on a lightly floured bench to a 3mm thickness and use it to line a 24cm round, 3cm deep tart tin, trimming away any excess dough.
5.line the tart with baking paper and fill it with rice or baking beans.
6.Blind bake the tart for 20 minutes, then remove the rice and paper and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden and crispy.
7.In a saucepan, combine the chopped white chocolate, egg yolks, eggs, caster sugar, cream and vanilla extract. Stir constantly over low heat, until the chocolate has melted and the mixture has thickened.
8.Pour the warm chocolate mixture into the tart case and press in the macadamia nuts, arranging them in a decorative pattern.
9.Place the tart in the oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until the chocolate is set but still has a little wobble.
10.Let the tart cool down for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
