Ingredients

1 cup plain flour
2 tablespoons self-raising flour
1/2 teaspoon dried chili pepper flakes ( or to taste )
1/2 teaspoon salt
40 g freshly grated parmesan cheese ( you could also use asiago , padano , reggiano )
100 g grated cheddar cheese
125 g butter , chopped
2 teaspoons milk
Chilli and cheese savoury biscuits, also known as savoury cookies, are a delicious snack that can be enjoyed at any time of day. These biscuits are made with a combination of plain and self-raising flour, dried chilli pepper flakes, freshly grated parmesan cheese, cheddar cheese and butter. They have a spicy kick which can be adjusted to suit your taste, and are perfect for serving with a cup of tea or coffee. These biscuits are incredibly easy to make, and can be stored in an airtight container for several days.

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 175°C/350°F.
2.In a mixing bowl, add plain flour, self-raising flour, chilli flakes, salt, parmesan cheese and cheddar cheese.
3.Mix all ingredients well.
4.Add chopped butter and mix until a ball of dough is formed.
5.Add 2 teaspoons of milk and mix again.
6.Roll the dough into small balls and place on a baking tray.
7.Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
8.Take out of the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
