Ingredients

2 cups pitted dates , hard type
1/2 cup sesame paste
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
plain cocoa powder
icing sugar
ground coffee , not espresso
sesame seeds
shredded coconut
ground nuts ( pistachio , walnuts , hazelnuts , cashew nut , peanuts and almonds )
whole anise seed
ground cinnamon
sugar candy sprinkles
chopped Oreo cookies

Instructions

1.In a food processor, blend the pitted dates into a paste.
2.Add sesame paste, cardamom, and 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder into the food processor and blend until combined.
3.Scoop out the mixture into a bowl and place in the fridge for 15-20 minutes to chill.
4.Mix together equal parts of cocoa powder, icing sugar, and ground coffee into a separate bowl.
5.Roll the chilled date mixture into small balls and coat each ball by rolling them in the cocoa and sugar mixture.
6.In separate bowls, mix together the sesame seeds, shredded coconut, and ground nuts.
7.Roll each coated date ball in one of the three chosen toppings (sesame seeds, shredded coconut, or ground nuts).
8.Finish by sprinkling ground cinnamon, anise seed, sugar candy sprinkles, and chopped Oreo cookies on top of the coated balls.
9.Chill the truffles in the fridge for at least an hour before serving. Enjoy!
