Ingredients

1 kg chicken piece , mixed bone-in pieces
1/4 cup ghee
1 inch cinnamon stick
6 cloves
6 green cardamom pods
2 bay leaves
1 cup diced onion
3 tablespoons ginger paste
3 tablespoons garlic paste
8 cups water
1 cup natural yoghurt
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon mace
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon saffron
1/2 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon salt
Shanky's Chicken Qorma is a classic Pakistani and Indian dish that is well-loved for its rich flavor and tender chicken. The dish is made by marinating chicken in a spiced yoghurt sauce and then slowly cooking it until it is tender and juicy. The spices in this dish add a fragrant aroma and bold taste while the creamy yoghurt marinade makes the chicken tender and juicy. Instructions

1.In a large pot, heat the ghee and add the cinnamon, cloves, green cardamom pods, and bay leaves. Fry the spices for a few seconds until fragrant.
2.Add the diced onions and fry until golden brown. Add the ginger and garlic pastes and fry for another 2 minutes.
3.Add the chicken pieces and fry for 10-15 minutes until golden brown. Add water and bring to a boil.
4.In a separate bowl, mix the yoghurt, coriander powder, red chili powder, cardamom powder, black pepper, mace, garam masala, saffron, milk, and salt.
5.Add the yoghurt mixture to the chicken and stir together. Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 45 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
6.Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
