Instructions

1.Marinate the flank steak with soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sake or rice wine, cornstarch and sugar for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.
2.Wash and cut the asparagus or green beans into 2-inch pieces.
3.Heat the peanut oil in a large pan over high heat.
4.Add the minced garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
5.Add the marinated steak and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes.
6.Add the asparagus or green beans and stir-fry for another 5 minutes.
7.Serve immediately over rice or noodles.
