Ingredients

1 cup cooked rice ( preferably asian rice )
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
3/4 tablespoon sugar
1/2 - 1 teaspoon salt
2 sheets nori ( seaweed paper )
4 tablespoons tamari soy sauce

Instructions

1.In a small bowl, mix the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until the sugar and salt dissolve.
2.In a large mixing bowl, add cooked rice and vinegar mixture.
3.Mix the rice properly till the vinegar mixture is coated evenly.
4.Divide the rice mixture into 2 portions and keep aside.
5.Toast each nori sheet over a flame, until it gets crispy and shiny.
6.Place the toasted nori sheets on a wooden sushi mat with shiny side facing down.
7.Take some prepared rice and spread a layer over the nori sheet, leaving 1/2 inch of space from all sides.
8.Place the sushi fillings of your choice (cucumbers, carrots, avocado, crabmeat, tofu) over the rice layer.
9.Use the mat to firmly roll the nori and rice over the fillings.
10.Use a sharp knife to gently cut the long sushi roll into slices with 1 inch width.
