Ingredients

4 tablespoons sake or 4 tablespoons white wine
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons miso ( red or white )
4 Japanese eggplants , trimmed and cut lengthwise
1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
sesame seeds
2 green onions , sliced thin
Nasu Dengaku (Broiled Japanese Eggplants With Miso) is a traditional Japanese dish that is popular in Japanese households and restaurants. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2.In a small bowl, mix together sake or wine, sugar, and miso until well combined.

4.Remove from the oven and flip the rggplant slices, brush them with miso sauce and put them back into the oven.
