Ingredients

500 g lean ground lamb
1 onion , finely grated
3 garlic cloves , crushed
2 tablespoons flat leaf parsley , chopped
1/2 - 1 teaspoon dried chili pepper flakes , to taste
4 tablespoons olive oil , to brush
4 ripe tomatoes , thinly sliced
200 g natural Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons chopped of fresh mint
1 large carrot
1 turnip
1 tablespoon sunflower oil
1 teaspoon cumin seed , toasted
1 lemon , juice of

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, grated onions, crushed garlic, parsley, chili flakes and salt until properly combined.
2.Divide the mixture into 8 portions and roll each into logs or sausage-like shapes around skewers.
3.Brush the koftas with olive oil and grill them for 6-8 minutes, flipping them once, until they are browned and cooked through.
4.Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix the Greek yogurt and chopped mint.
5.Peel then thinly slice the carrot and turnip. In a pan, over medium heat, fry cumin seeds with sunflower oil for 30 seconds. Add carrot and turnip. Stir in the lemon juice, then mix well.
6.Plate the koftas on top of the sliced tomatoes along with the carrot cumin salad and mint yogurt on the side. Serve and enjoy!
