Ingredients

1 boneless skinless chicken breasts or chicken , cut in 8 pieces
3 cups water
1 1/2 teaspoons salt , divided
1 1/2 cups walnuts
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
3 slices white bread or 2 pita breads
1 teaspoon paprika , divided
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
sliced black olives , to garnish
Shredded Chicken and Walnut Sauce is inspired by traditional Lebanese cuisine. This flavorful and aromatic dish combines the richness of chicken with the nuttiness of walnuts to produce a healthy and hearty meal that is suitable for any occasion. Instructions

1.Boil chicken in water with 1 teaspoon of salt for 10-15 minutes, or until it's fully cooked.
2.Remove the chicken from the water and shred it. Set it aside.
3.Toast the walnuts in a pan on low heat for 5 minutes. Then, grind them using a food processor or mortar and pestle, and set them aside.
4.Sauté onion in a pan on medium heat in 1 teaspoon of oil until it becomes transparent.
5.Toast the bread or pita in the oven until crispy, then grind it and add it to the pan along with the walnuts, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of paprika, black pepper, and 1 1/2 cups of chicken broth.
6.Mix everything together, and then add the shredded chicken to the pan. Stir it well.
7.Add the remaining salt and paprika to the mixture and stir well.
8.Simmer for 5-10 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.
9.Serve with fresh black olives on top.
