Ingredients

3 lbs pork back ribs
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
3/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 garlic cloves , minced
2 teaspoons fresh ginger , minced
2 teaspoons coarse black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/2 cup green onion , chopped
1/4 cup fresh coriander , chopped
Pork ribs are a beloved comfort food, and this sticky, glossy glazed rib recipe takes it to the next level. The pork is baked in the oven for an hour and a half until it is tender and then glazed with a sweet and savory mixture of hoisin sauce, hot pepper sauce, rice vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and sugar. The ribs are then returned to the oven, brushed with glaze and caramelized to masterpiece. The result is a delicious and sticky dish that is sure to please.

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350F (180C).
2.Rub the rib with the mixture of salt, black pepper, and vegetable oil and then bake it for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
3.In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar, hoisin sauce, hot pepper sauce, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger together to create a glaze.
4.When the rib is cooked and tender, increase the oven temperature to 450F (230C).
5.Brush the glaze on one side of the rib and place it on a baking sheet with the glazed side up.
6.Bake it for around 10 minutes and take the rib out of the oven.
7.Brush the rib with the remaining glaze and broil it for around 3-5 minutes or until the glaze has caramelized.
8.Take the rib out of the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
9.Garnish with chopped green onion and fresh coriander.
